“WhiteHat 2010 Website Security Statistics Report.” WhiteHat Security, Inc. Hosting services provided by Petry Design include strong website protection measures so that your website isn’t one of those 64%. Among our clients who have sites hosted with us are information-sensitive companies such as mortgage brokers and medical services providers. They can’t afford an information leak; and neither can we. That’s why we invest a lot of money in our servers and guarantee the highest level of security.
Websites aren’t just at risk for information leakage. They are susceptible to hijacking and cross-site scripting (XSS), where websites are bombarded with break-in attempts that ultimately lead to content being replaced with inappropriate material such as pornography. Not only do we provide protection against information leakage, but we also protect our clients from hijacking and XSS attempts by utilizing constantly updated security measures including Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption, the latest intrusion detection systems and strong firewalls. Your website is safe with Petry Design.

When your website is hosted with us, you should not even worry about receiving viruses in your e-mail inbox… they are blocked before they even get to you. Our hosting service provides ClamAV antivirus software that is able to detect many types of malicious software, including viruses, that are sent to your web addresses hosted on our server. ClamAV was developed for UnixAIX, BSD, HP-UX, Linux, Mac OS X, OpenVMS, OSF and Solaris. The protection software includes a number of utilities: a command-line scanner, automatic database updater and a scalable multi-threaded daemon, running on an anti-virus engine from a shared library.
The application also features a Milter interface for sendmail and on-demand scanning. It has support for Zip, RAR, Tar, Gzip, Bzip2, OLE2, Cabinet, CHM, BinHex, SIS formats, most mail file formats, ELFPortable Executable (PE) files compressed with UPX, FSG, Petite, NsPack, wwpack32, MEW, Upack and obfuscated with SUE, Y0da Cryptor. It also supports many document formats, including Microsoft Office, HTML, Rich Text Format (RTF) and Portable Document Format (PDF). The ClamAV virus database is updated several times each day and as of 21 August 2010 contained 818,106 virus signatures. You don’t have to know what all this means as long as you understand that ClamAV is the most comprehensive and effective e-mail system security feature… and we use it to protect our clients.
