The answer: By being able to measure and analyze web hits. Petry Design provides this crucial information either through on-site tracking or off-site tracking - and each has their own benefits.
On-Site Hit Tracking
Depending on the type of website your company or organization has, on-site tracking may or may not be the preferred choice. On-site tracking provides a hit counter located on your website that is viewable by visitors. It does not, however, show what type of unique hits your site gets and does not provide a lot of the data that will be useful to your organization. It simply shows the measurement of page views.
Most of our clients need to know more than just that, so we can work cohesively to tailor web marketing initiatives and track actual conversions. Using data provided by off-site hit tracking is usually the best way to go; and the servers on which we spend most of our money provide that data which is necessary to improve your website and your web marketing strategy.
Off-Site Hit Tracking
Since we think that web counters on websites are usually just a tacky eyesore, we usually convince our clients not to use them. Besides, they were really cool in 1997, but not so much anymore. To measure real and unique website hits, we use off-site hit tracking features built into our server. We continually monitor the website hits and the type of unique click-throughs that your site has and when information comes to our attention that may be useful in the process of enhancing your web marketing strategies, we will bring them to your attention.
